Killington... like being on the NJ turnpike at rush hour: it's not the vertical feet that matter, its the quality of the snow and the overall experience that make the difference. For better resorts try Sugarbush/Stowe/Jay Peak. Now for our friends out west that think the East has crappy conditions, I do agree that we don't get the best weather however that what's makes us Eastern riders/skiers better: the ability to handle any type of terrain and conditions. I am reminded of that everytime I go out west. What us Yankees call tree skiing would be bushwacking to you people, and our definition of packed powder and of a chilly day would have you westerners looking for the lodge.

But enough on that subject, I realize this is a thread on MRKR so here's my question:
this company's business being highly seasonal, when are new orders actually placed? Someone mentionned a trade show in Las Vegas, but I would think that new orders for the 97-98 season dont start to pick up till the summer. So if that's true wouldnt you expect MRKR's price to stay low until sales (new orders) pick up? Also what is wrong with the market these days, doesnt anyone like small-caps any more? All mine are stuck in neutral.

P.S. Im still not sold on step-ins, I didnt see that many riders with them last month when I flew to Tahoe (someone mentionned they were more popular out west) and I don't know if they'll ever catch on once the novelty factor is gone.
