David, HAAPI is the high level code for Bio-API. That is why the negotiations took so long. See my earlier post about the subject for a quote that makes that clear. It is not "obsolete"; it has been assimilated. "Retooling" is a simple addition, not a major concern, and can be done in a small amount of time. There is no "hardware" provider yet (read sub $100 fingerprint scanner), however. I think the pricing is great, though... I hope Who?Vision gets its act together and puts out a less than $100 scanner. Then NRI would get major sales. Don't forget Who?Vision said it would go public this year. Granted they said so last year, but I doubt they would make that claim again unless it was true. Make a fool of me once, shame on you, make a fool of me twice, shame on me....
