Tony, >>>Kernen - Chips may be becoming a commodity and prices are falling. Also, can't imagine how fast Intel's chips will be in 2 - 3 years. Who's going to buy them?<<<

Poor Joe. He was trying to be so cool - as if he knew what he was talking about. The insinuation, of course, that he knew about PCs and that no one needed faster and more powerful microprocessors - even 2 or 3 years down the road.

At least his buddy, Drew Peck admitted that he didn't understand the Xeon market. And of course, if you don't understand the Xeon market, you don't really understand Information Technology and the Information Technology market. Someone should gently tell Joe that the IT market is very different from the consumer PC market. There are different dynamics, different applications, different margins, and different pricing issues and that he should keep his mouth shut until he bones up in this area.

Regards,

Mary
