Do you think maybe the run-up of the Dow is the vast unwashed finally piling into the top of the market, much as people learn to sell odd-lots of stock short at the bottom?

There must be 100,000,000 Americans for whom "Dow-Jones" is synonymous with "stock market" and who want to own "safe investments." They want to buy names they see on things they own or have heard about. That is my guess. We could have an entire bear market in NASDAQ stocks and the Dow could continue on up.
