M2: I'm going shopping - I need some stuff to offset those wacky tech stocks. I will look at financials, but I refuse to buy basic materials. K BTW, have been taking a serious look at Honda (HMC) - - won the race at Long Beach yesterday <ggg> - excellent financials - not a tech - chart looks good - currently basing, but near the end - rebound in Japan - IBD ratings: EPS 96, RS 86, A/D - B - News item ... Honda mulls new North American plant because of strong regional demand. Honda now makes 960,000 cars at 2 plants in the U.S. and 1 in Canada. That capacity will increase to 1.01 million vehicles by 2000. But...... Honda sold 1.13 million cars in N.A. last year, up 7.8%. That requires Honda to import about 240,000 cars a year including 60,000 Accords. Honda plans to spend $250 million to $340 million initially in the 100,000-car plant, which would open by 2001.
