HAYWARD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 19, 1999--Data Broadcasting Corp. (Nasdaq:DBCC - news), America's leading provider of real-time financial market data to traders and individual investors over the Internet, Monday announced it has signed a cooperative marketing agreement with Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq:MSFT - news).
Under the terms of the agreement, DBC will utilize Microsoft Windows Media Technologies and Microsoft will showcase DBC's use of streaming media about Signal Online and trading in Microsoft's Web Events site at webevents.msn.com.

DBC intends to embed Microsoft's Internet Explorer with Media Player into the next generation Signal Online, adding the benefits of streaming real-time video and audio to Signal's streaming real-time quotes. These capabilities will be conveniently hyper-linked from within the Signal product.
