Sorry; not wanting to rain on a parade - but, how can reaping these sweet rewards we've all worked so hard for; actually be ''raining'' on anyones parade ? - I'm selling and I'm loving it ! - Taking profits is ''NOT'' a bad thing - we all gotta do it sooner or later... and I am happy as hell for everyone else who wants to continue to hold and ride this Big Kahuna ... sorry, I had to take my ''board'' up on the beach for a while here and drink a few daiquiri's and take a breather (VBG) - wow !
CLB - the batch from 4/6/99 at $12 1/2 is gone - outta here for 40% !
SEV - from $3 5/8ths - 40% gone at $5 for 35% - per my original target, the rest at $7
KMG - from $32 to $40 - adios.....
I just can not pass up these types of runs ! I guess I could have never owned DELL , or AOL and made the big bucks....(VBG) - I am so happy that I am jumping up and kissing my own ass at 40-50% gains ! - how the hell can anyone hold non-stop through a 2-500% gain and never sell ?
Down to 50% cash - 50% in energy, I am buying some lagging S&L's here - still barely off of $52 week lows - just as the regional banks are waking up earnings and stockprice-wise... my own form of rotation....
drsvelte - very, very good thought here - the risk vs. rewards of us continuing to move parabolically in 10% jolts is unlikely imho.... we certainly aren't going back to freefall and probably will never see sub OSX 60, or even perhaps the low 60's - but a 15% retracement to the mid 60's is realistic here; or is it ?!?!
I just feel that we have never had a run on this volume to this degree on any prior run here. We've had good ones - but not like this imho. When this incredible imbalance in our favor of buyers to sellers subsides - the reversal to a lack of buyers and the shorts/hedge fund players laying it on - may give the gutsy a 10% mo mo ride down....especially in the institutional fav's that do not have the really strong earnings fundamentals here - WFT CAM - look ripe for profit taking here.... yes, we were at OSX 104 the last time we had $17 Oil - but we were NOT sitting on 40-50% Rig utilization, and dayrates and earnings are half of where they were, when we were at OSX 104 - it's not ''just'' Oil Prices folks - and we WILL return to reality here...
Hey - I love it, but I am taking my fruits of victory and I don't care if we go to OSX 110 today - I have gains that I am beyond estatic over. Only by ''trading'' and rotating; did I have the cash available to make these 40% - 50% trading ''pops'' in the HMAR's, the SEV's, the MEXP's , the BEXP's etc. - these low price - non marginable stocks require cash and I'm sure we have not seen the last of these opportunities.
I am loaded with EEX here from $4 7/8ths - so everyone desiring a great E&P play (VBG) - this is the one ! - please run it to $7 -8 - pleeeeeze !
Well, I have to admit - my thoughts on doubting a complete shift to cyclicals was WRONGO ! - but, by rotating into E&P's / Integrageds like MRO, KMG et al - I haven't missed anything.... one can be wrong and still make money by rotating - fwiw - I'm parking some cash in those S&L small caps today - and looking at a few laggards like OMNI and Teddy had a great little pick in WEL - look into this little co - good choice Teddy .
I just got in - missed the open - and all I can say is WOW ! - but, being up 30-40-50% in so many stocks - I have to take profits - will keep taking more if the ride continues - I think it will take OSX 85ish over the next few days (only 10% from todays high !) to bleed me to allmost all cash !

Profit/Return-wise; I am a PIG, but I ''aint'' no HOG - I am satiated today folks, thats all I'm gonna say - at least think twice about all those Internet & Tech holders who were in the same position that we are right here - on their prior run ups; - never have the words - too much - too fast, been more aprapo to us, than right here imho....
But, I am trolling for rotation/trading ideas - WEL OMNI HOFF look reasonable here - HOFF has strong fundamentals and a bright earnings future - an excellent choice given the run of late. I am buying E&P microcaps today, maybe I'll get back to 60-70% invested ? - brought up PGEI months ago folks - they are out there..... remember RRC anyone....?
Longtermers - are we buying anything here ? Experienced traders like Michael Happel - are you playing any $3-4-5 Mo-Mo runs here ? Anyone else see any sleepers like Teddy's WEL ?
