Anytime in recent memory has been a good time to invest in Intel and that hasn't changed. In fact, this will be the best quarter in the history of the company, again, and that's due, in no small measure, to huge growth in the server markets. This year looks truly awesome:

Network computers using Intel from the likes of Toshiba and Oracle.
Huge growth in multi-processor sytems using thousands of Pentiums.
Emergence of dual-processor systems as the standard server.

But the icing on the cake is the 400 Mhz Pentium developed using the existing manufacturing capabilities at 35 microns. It is obvious to me that the significance of this event escaped the press because it means the bar has been moved out of reach of AMD and Cyrix and they will have to settle for 10% margins on the low-end. It is also stunning evidence of the progress being made in the 25 micron manufacturing capability which should push the architecture into the 500 Mhz area and beyond without even breathing hard.
