The new day trader recruits need a day like today to learn the lesson that this is not a free lunch business. Professional equity traders have been in existence for centuries. The Wall Street market just gave the public a loaded gun. It doesn't mean they know how to use the gun though. It takes a lot of skill to be a successful trader. I hope most people haven't lost a fortune but I'm hoping today's action deters anyone from becoming a "day trader". The day trader has made real investing a dying art.
