Charles didn't post the ones from the AOL board that gave the short position, so here they are:

In today's "Wall Street Journal" short position on KNIC as of 02/14/97 is stated 210,407 as compared to 634,949 on 01/15/97 which is down 66.9%. If we assume the float is about 7 mill. shares this represents only 3% of the float!!!!! Any thoughts anyone?

They didnt cover their short positions in the open market. Its so obvious. This was the paring off of the converted bonds prior to the suspended conversion and renegotiation of the convertable debenture to a fixed 8 dollar exercise price.
What were in effect, shorting against the box.

<<Hope this helps.>>
