Cpn: Look at it another way. Internet's have to correct every now and then. Wouldn't you prefer that AV is floated into an internet market that has had it correction. In fact AV could be the fuse which re-launches the internet market.

Irrespective of the general market, AV will be a very attractive investment.

BTW I never heard anyone talking about $10 billion for AV. The figure of $1 billion or $2 billion has been bandied around, depending on the percentage that is going to be sold. And the money does not come to COMPAQ, it goes to AV. CPQ benefits by the amount of shares in AV it retains.
