I have been watching this stock for a while and have taken a small position in it recently on the earnings debacle day. Then....it moved still lower and lower to a new 52 week low.

I am not so sure that it will reach anywhere near 50 by christmas. Y2K is still waiting upon us. Many companies have stopped spending on new projects (translates to stopped buying new equipment), which means that the next quarter may be even weaker. If that happens I think CPQ will sink to the mid-teens. The massive sell off by the insiders is not helping either. Probably they know more about the Y2K effects on CPQ than we do, otherwise why would they sell at such rock bottom prices ? May be because they expect the price to still go down in the future ?

I hope my analysis may be flawed, but where ? Any thoughts ? How do you think a Y2K christmas will affect CPQ ?

Regards,
Vaibhav
