What I meant was that if they wanted to buy as many shares as possible with the money available for purchase, they'd want the price to remain low while they are buying them back and wouldn't do any significant promotion during that period.

Of course buying them back raises the intrinsic value of the remaining shares, but the market hasn't paid attention and is not properly valuing the company.

That's why the people in this thread are going to do well when the market finally values the company properly.

The share drop isn't because they are buying them back - it is in spite of it. Frankly, I don't understand why people are selling me their shares so cheaply! (-;

They won't necessarily reissue them later. It is a lot easier to get your EPS up if you have less shares outstanding!
