Scumbria, Don't disagree that a strong intel brand enhances that value of 2nd tier OEMs, but it appears that Compaq's attempt to set Intel straight has backfired... again. Maybe Compaq should focus on creating their own value vs trying to reduce Intel's. I believe they have a lot to offer the market, but spending all their time and effort trying to reduce the price of the CPU and the value of Intel is a distraction. Nitt
