Doctor's first words were "Capital Great"!!!!!
Update: Monday April 19, 1999 5:20 PM CST
Just got off the phone with Bill's wife, and her first words were...
"Bill is hunky dory, peachy keen"! LOL!
Doctor came out and said that the surgery went "perfect, textbook perfect". When they got in, they found a 4th blockage, so instead of a triple bypass, he got the quad. (Whoa! All cylinders are gonna be running smooth now, huh?)
Bill had been told he would be in CCU for 3-4 days, then 5-7 in a room before returning home, but the doctor told her that he "might get to come home this weekend"! (YAY! Bill!)
Bill's color is good, lungs clear & his heart started back perfect. He is not completely out of the anesthesia yet, so hasn't spoken, (communicated??). Tubes and ventilators, etc will all come out tomorrow.
I'm sure his first words will be something concerning his DGIV family! LOL...ok, so maybe that won't be his FIRST words, but they will follow close! <g>
They appreciate all the prayers, and love from everyone who is "going thru this" with Bill.
btw, there is no phone number at this time, Denise will call with it when they get to a regular room.
