Excerpts From MCOM 13D FILING 4/19/99 from Edgar On Line.......... Item 4. Purpose of Transaction The purpose of the acquisition of securities of the Issuer is, for investment purposes. Vulcan Ventures may purchase additional shares of common stock of Metricom, Inc. from time to time. Any decision to make additional purchases will depend, however, on various factors, including, without limitation, the price of Metricom, Inc. In addition, Vulcan Ventures intends to exercise the warrant it presently owns before January 26,1994(The expiration date of the warrant)to acquire 408,333 shares of common stock of the Issuer at the exercise price, #20.00 per share.
