You might be right about the Business Wire attorneys not taking this seriously—I dunno. But here's the sequence of events, JFTR (just for the record):

1. I get the letter late Friday night saying, in essence, to respond to Joshua Koltun (Steinhart & Falconer, LLP) at 415.442.0827 by 5:00 pm, Monday, April 19, 1999 (today).

2. I call at 1:00 pm and get his voicemail. I explain that we've deleted the [reference deleted] reference here: webnode.com and further explain that I'll send a follow-up message explaining the same, and he can contact me at either my home phone, (xxx.xxx.xxxx) or via email (bill@magneticdiary.com)

3. I send the follow-up email. In that, I describe my willingness to discuss this tomorrow (Tuesday 4/20/1999), since it appears he's not available at the current time, today.

4. I contact the front desk at Steinhart & Falconer to acknowledge my message,
left with S & F employee, Vincent Viray, who confirms my call at 1:00 pm.

5. Having not heard back, I call again at 4:50 pm (to meet the apppointed deadline), and once again get Joshua's voicemail, whereupon I explain the same thing as in #2 above.

6. I once again contact the front desk to acknowledge that I have called, in an effort to comply with the deadline mentioned in the letter. This time I get (phonetic) Carol Habinger, who says that she will transfer me to Joshua's secretary. She transfers me. Instead of getting a real person, I get the voicemail of (phonetic) Angelie Gatie. Since nobody is available to assist with my attempts to comply with the deadline, I opt to not leave a message with the secretary, since I had already left one with Joshua Koltun anyway (#5 above).

So I'm okay, right? I've made diligent efforts to talk to them about their Silly-Goofy-Stuff™ that they want to talk about, yeah? Wonder why they desperately require my personal response, yet aren't really available? Hullo, McFly?
