***MORE ON GREENSPAMMMM***

freeus,

<< It is very difficult to make investment decisions based on intelligent research on companies when the market sits and hold its breath every time greenspan is about to say something>>

I agree. As you konw, I think Greenspan has no business commenting on the markets relative value. Sure many stocks are overvalued but many are undervalued. One the problems with his comments are that they have an almost universal and global affect. With just a few words he can drive down undervalued stocks and markets as well as those he personally feels are over-heating. I too believe in a free market and it becomes less free when he continues to make irresponsible comments on an ever increasing basis. Fortunately his comments, thus far, have only had a short lived affect. However, one of these times he is going to ignite a more serious and long lasting downturn. I like you believe that stock prices (short and long term) should be determined by buyers and sellers not by one man's loose lip.
