Your right. Many people (including me sometimes) think that if you don't make 100% to 200% on a stock in a couple months (or if we're talking penny stocks, a couple of days or less), then your doing something wrong. I try to mix it up. Some in annuities, some in mutual funds, some IRA/Roth IRA, some in long term stocks, and some in short term stocks. I have to admit that the short term investing is the most fun. It's funny, I used to have a desire to go to Atlantic City once or twice a year just to have the excitement of gambling. Since I started investing, I no longer have that desire.
