3 easy steps to fix Novell 1. Get a hatchet man for the new CEO not a "visionary". Worked for IBM, CPQ, ... 2. Use 750 million of the cash to repurchase stock. Certainly don't want this management purchasing any other companies. 3. Cut the work force by 25% to increase profit margins and decrease costs. Tough on the employees but good for the shareholders. Given anything close to this they could easily make the original earnings estimates.
