"...Corel will acquire GraphicCorp for a combination of US $4 million
cash payable over a six month period and one million shares of
Corel stock. Corel is underwriting the value of the stock at US
$6.30 per share by September 30, 1999, bringing the total value
of the deal to US $10.3 million..."

So, as I see it, this appears to mean that Corel is betting that the price of its stock will be higher than US$6.30 by September 30,1999.
