I was amused when I was getting blank stares and outbursts of disbelief when the subject of an ongoing war in the Balkans was raised. It later became almost frightening that more people than not have no idea that we are in a de facto war. I have mostly gotten responses like, "yeah, like, I saw something on the news about refugees and bombs." No matter what our opinions here in this thread, I have come to accept that we are a relatively well-informed, and concerned, minority... :)
