While I'm impressed with TA's reading of medical journals, I'm not impressed with his logic. To conclude that Muse is obviously superior to Viagra is a leap of faith.
Muse is awkward to use. It's uncomfortable. It's less effective. And it's more expensive.
Viagra is easy to use. For most people, it has no ill effects. For most, it works. And it's relatively cheap.
Yes, it has contraindications. Almost all the risks TA points out are pretty obvious: to minimize them, follow the instructions and your physician's orders. (I'll have to ask my ophthalmologist about "unsuspecting heterozygote carriers of a PDE6 gene defect.")
His guesstimates of the numbers of dead are just that, and (so far) reflect misuse of the pill. And prospects for another alprostadil-based drug? Well, if Viagra doesn't work for you, or is contraindicated, then some other therapy would presumably be worth trying. If Viagra works for you, and you're not in a high-risk group? Why would you go sticking Muse in your private parts?
And anyone leaping beyond TA's conclusions to recommending VVUS as a stock, over PFE, is really reaching, for reasons that have been gone into in depth on this board.
