Considering RNWK's many contracts QT could almost be a act of vengeance

However it can't be overlooked that both SGI and IBM are preparing for its use on their servers .

QT's open source will undoubtedly be attractive to enterprise server accounts running IBM/SGI's OS , which includes NT , and subtly promotes AAPL as a application supplier .

Hopefully AAPL's QT will prove to be superior technology and create opportunity in the enterprise environment for interfacing coming consumer products (set top box , low cost portables etc.)

Additionally QT should give an immediate boost to selling AAPL's G3 servers .

Open QT still could be sour grapes but the above is true also .
