taxman, I wonder how they will report the EPS in that case. Would it be including the investment income? I sure hope so as that was the indication Maffei had given. In the January quarter, I was confident of a blowout since Intel had reported a great quarter as well. This time Intel just did so so. However, MSFT should still do better than intel.
My guess is 35 cents per share. In addition, we should get a somewhat reassuring statement about the state of the PC biz. The only problem is that Microsoft has to issue those employee stock options at the beginning of July and sells the equity puts (i think around the same time) and may not want to see the stock go higher.
THis would just be a problem for options traders and not shareholders who are in it for the long run---1 year at least.

BTW--I am looking for an opportunity to unload my May 80 calls.
