The success of Bid.com has spawned a whole new group of internet companies of the me-too, designed-to-implode category. One has to be very careful when doing DD on these new stocks. If they changed their direction in the last 6 months from mining to the Internet, chances are they will fail. Watch out for cyber-stocks that have completely changed their business model as well. If it failed the first time, it will probably fail again. It makes little sense to put your profits in one of these stocks, thinking that they will be the next winner.There was a good article in Stockhouse Financial News from last week that explains this in more detail.
