NATO is on the line now, and neither of us wants to see the operation end ignominiously, now that it is begun. The question now is: what are the prospects of terminating the operation with some semblance of dignity...

That's the same boneheaded logic that kept the Vietnam war going for years after it was obviously a lost cause.

Anyone loyal to the United States and concerned with the future of NATO should hope that there is such a resolution, which is why it fries his ass, so to speak, when posters seem to be against the interests of the United States...

I see an upside to NATO losing. It will save lives in the long run, by discouraging this kind of dangerous, idiotic intervention in the future.
