You are an amazingly wonderful exception to otherwise dreadful support at Quote.com.
First, they could never be bothered to respond to an email. And the phone number used to be well hidden. Thankfully, someone on this thread was willing to keep handing it out.
Now threats. When I logged on this morning, I received the following email (sent yesterday at 3:27 PM ET), which basically says that due to their error I have to get a printed, signed form, via snail mail, into their hands by April 26 - otherwise they cancel my realtime subscription to this data. Since I did see the email today, I can and will comply, assuming the postal service is smooth. This incredibly short notice makes me wonder if the support staff, with your notable exception, is intentionally obnoxious or just plain stupid. And please note that the referenced url is not a site for printing forms, per se,; it's a way to begin the subscription process, which leads to encountering the form.
Our database reflects that you subscribed for realtime data for the CME,
COMEX, and/or OPRA exchanges in the last few months. Each exchanges require
that we keep an originally-signed agreement for each customer on file. We
experienced a problem with our subscription site which allowed realtime
access to be added to your account without our receipt of your agreement.
In order to continue providing you with realtime data, we ask that you print
the agreement(s) from our subscription site, complete it, and mail it to us
by April 26, 1999. Please go to
quote.com to print the
applicable forms. The mailing address is on each form. If we do not receive
the agreement(s) by April 26, we will cancel your realtime subscription
starting in May.
We appreciate your cooperation and apologize for any inconvenience this may
