Good morning, Joel,
I agree, the make-it-or-break-it for Iomega's continued viability is the Zip and Zip alone. Without it becoming absolutely dominant as a floppy replacement, the game is over. But, since this is supposed to be a growth stock (I sure hope it is), IMHO, Iomega needs to be more than a one-hit-wonder (who was it that recorded "Light my Fire"?) and expansion into ancillary markets or creation of new markets (Jaz, n.hand, ...) is necessary. IMHO, the last thing those of us on the long side need is a company tied directly and completely to a 1-computer:1-Zip:1-multipack-of-disks model. That pulls the P/E immediately down to the hard drive manufacturer level.
Y/N?
