OT New NASDAQ trading hours coming... NEW TRADING HOURS TO BUMP GERALDO AND CHRIS MATTHEWS? This summer the NASDAQ stock market intends to extend its trading hours into the evening, CNBC reported Monday evening. The index, which is currently open from 9:30 am ET until 4:00 pm ET, will hold a second trading session from 5 or 6 pm until 9 pm ET. The board of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF SECURITIES DEALERS and the SEC would have to approve the plan. CNBC offered no immediate official comment on the fate of the business channel's current primetime programming, but network sources told the DRUDGE REPORT late Monday that several shows could simply be moved to sister station MSNBC if extra trading gets in the way. "If we [CNBC] cover new extended hours of NASDAQ, which I fully expect we will, [Chris Matthews'] HARDBALL and Geraldo's new show could be shifted over to MSNBC," one network executive explained from New Jersey. "But it is too early to tell. We're just now starting to draw up plans." X X X X X
