Help me out here ... I'm inexperienced and have bought and
sold a few stocks because I liked the companies / products
or because SI'ers enthused. Bought SUNW at 68 and got reamed ...

So, time to go to school :-

earningswhispers.com shows trailing 12 mo. earnings at $1.02.

At $105 ( last close ), this gives trailing 12 mo. P/E of 103.

Q1 results say eps $0.65 ( or $0.58 all inclusive ) with
revenue growth to continue - so lets say 1999 eps ~ $2.60.

By my arithmetic, the projected P/E just fell from 103 trailing
to ~ 40 projected.

Shouldn't the price be going UP instead of DOWN ?

What am I missing ?
