Though, if true, it has some positive implications for AMD's competitive environment; but, I regard it as less than entirely a positive development, since it leaves AMD almost completely alone in the arena and, as such, a lone target and somewhat less credible.

It, also, can make any position that the FTC or the Justice Department
may want to take stronger.

Duopoly anyone?
