I don't know. McCormick is still claiming that defective p53 signal is required for replication. If he's correct, no, it wouldn't change the relationship. Just dents company's rep for accuracy, IMO. The fashion in which it was communicated won't command a ton of respect in the scientific community.

The company's posture might be that nothing has changed, and that, given McCormick's latest rationale, the market just expanded. Until any biological effects are refuted, this is moot.

BTW.... abstracts pointing to this were posted in the relevant thread prior to the meeting.
