I think you guys should give Joe the benefit of the doubt. There's no doubt in my mind that something was lost in the translation between the German and American offices. I think Joe is showing very strong leadership qualities by standing up and fixing blame where it belongs. SAN FRANCISCO -- Novell president Joe Marengi on Thursday blamed the company's disappointing first quarter earnings on an unexpected downturn in sales in Germany "which became known to us only right at the very end of the quarter."
