In this situation don't respond (IMO) to the margin call UNTIL the
last minute. The brokerage or clearing house will give
you three days to come up with the cash to cover or else
sell securities. In this internet selloff case, the rebound back
will probably put you safely into green territory, and soon.

This advice is also a case of "been there, done that."
