Aspect is about to introduce another option for its big corporate clients, which Cynthia Weiss (manager for Internet solutions at Aspect Telecommunications) believes will expedite adoption of web-based interactions. The new solution will allow an agent who is contacted via a typical 800 number call to suggest that the customer go to the company's website, where the caller and agent can collaborate in real time.
Excerpts from Aspect's 1998 annual report: ------------------------------------------
We now visualize a larger opportunity based on the need of companies with telephone-based call centers to offer their customers broader communications options in a way that will enhance the likelihood of repeat business
All the elements of the multimedia, multifunction call center come together with integrated configuration, queuing, routing, and reporting, and when this virtual system is tied into a company's full resources, that company gains a tremendous advantage
In the year ahead, Aspect will continue to advance our value proposition as a customer relationship solutions provider, delivering advanced datamart capabilities, turnkey suites of customer relationship management applications, and a comprehensive customer support portfolio. In packaging, pricing, and positioning every product and service offering, we will be committed to complete and integrated solutions, giving our customers the edge to win in the marketplace.
