Monsanto's (MTC) cox II inhibitor drug celebrex, which was supposed to be the answer to pain of sufferers of arthritis without causing duodenal and stomache ulcers (caused by the mainstream pain regimen for arthritis pain) has been linked to ten deaths and 11 cases of gastrointestinal hemorrhage. As in the first days after the viagra hoopla surrounding deaths by heart failure, it's too early to speculate what the linkage may mean. But MTC's drug was touted as the answer to pain without the risk to GI track.
It would be interesting to see what else Maris/BS backs to determine vested interests. Anyone have any thoughts about ANDX?
