"I can't see why the oil companies wouldn't try to develop/copy/license some of this technology and make their own fuel cells and engines." The same comments were made in the early stages for Ballard but eventually both Daimler and Ford threw in the towel and adopted Ballard's technology due to it's advanced state and patent protection. The fact is that anyone starting today is about 10 years behind the state of the art. The auto companies have been trying for years but none have had the success Ballard has had. Regards
