While reading your response something flashed through my mind: What about a stockmarket E-bay where bonded stockowners (not brokers, not MMs) use a website to buy and sell stock between themselves? As long as the trade (which could be based on the hour, the day, or a 30 day max) was between participants with certs, and no middleman was used, I don't see how the SEC could interfere. I am sure the Feds would go crazy, but it is about time for the citizenry to drive them nuts, rather than vice versa. Dream on. Hmmmm...
