Heads up - general FYI.
2 weeks ago I put in a request with E*trade for 8900 shares of PNLK in certificates through e-station. Several days later I followed up and found that there was no record of the request, so I requested the order again with the customer service rep while on that same call, a recorded conversation. Still not seeing shares withdrawn from the account, I called just now to find out my request has been denied! There are more than sufficient shares available to cover the request. I have a request to speak to a manager now as the service rep could not tell me why the request was denied. Etrade lends shares for shorting according to their people. Does this sound like a potential conflict of interest here?

Anyone have any similar experiences or suggestions? If so, please post so we can get a feel for what's going on, if anything. If not satisfied with Etrades response or a lack of it, I will call the SEC for information. Maybe it's time for shorts to cover? -Jim
