Charles ..

Most banks will be offering "on-line banking"
as a convenience or customer service ..

A few "banks" will use the reach of the internet
to become "branchless" financial powerhouses using
the internet as a way to "grow assets" by offering
higher rates to savers/depositors and other financial services
such as loan processing, on-line trading, lease financing
etc.

It's the NTBK/TBFC/USAB model vs the old-line "brick
and mortar" boys .. to compete on rates and services
the old line banks would have to 1) kill their current
customer base or 2) take a big hit to earnings .. is
your local bank suddenly going to offer "free checking"
and "free e-billing" or higher CD rates to get you as
a customer and not offer the same deal to existing
depositors ????

NTBK/TBFC/USAB will only be worthwhile investments
in the long run based upon their ability to grow
their assets .. USAB has 185 million in assets now
with a MCAP of 27.5 million @ 12 1/2 .. I'm anticipating
a significant ramp-up in their "asset growth rate" as
their i-net initiatives for "banking" and "brokerage"
take root .. the stock price will follow ..
