w.r.t. staying anonymous: With a few clicks of a mouse, a fairly large amount of accurate info can be found about any individual providing his/her real name. Hotstocktips information might border-line on insider trading ( or not), thus it is to his benefit that he remain anonymous.

BUT, even remaining anonymous does not fully protect you, a few phone calls from the authorities or fishing around the data transfer protocols can provide plenty of info...
