The sale consists of 12 MediaStream 1600s, which will perform content-receipt, storage, and playback of programming including short-form promotional spots, interstitials, and long-form sporting events. HP servers were also installed in DirecTV's Los Angeles broadcast center, which will go on-line later this year. HP also announced that the Maryland-based Sinclair Broadcast Group will install 7-channel MediaStream 700 servers in its top 18 stations across the country beginning in the third quarter of this year.
