I have no problem hearing or seeing negative comments relative to GLE at all. I guess to me its more a question of motive than anything else. Mike has made a statement that a SOFC fuel cell will never be used in a car or a bus. Please, explain your justification for making such a statement. I have said Ballard will not make it to market with what it has. My justification for saying so was from reading all of the Company press releases, articles, comments, and information on Ballard on the net up to and including the nice write up Ballard got in the paper (Globe and Mail). Without major changes and advancements in production costs, fuel delivery systems, reforming technology, and fuel, weight, public perception, etc. no I dont feel it will make it to full scale production and the consumer market. I never said they cant make changes and get it to work, I said I saw it as being difficult for them to backtrack and change given how much money and time they have invested. You see, I have no factual information that GLE will either, nobody does, for either, I never said they will. My past post regarding GM and Toyota recognizes there may be others developing for them as well. If there is something bad about the SOFC of GLE I want to hear it, but at the same time I want to hear why? Thats not alot to ask. I have never said anything about Ballard without saying why I thought that way. Perhaps knowing Mike's justification for saying so would help me understand his statements. I feel Global may have a chance to make it to market with a differing approach/cell. Ballard has a chance to, but not without changes. |
