Hello Pals and welcome to Norma, Carolyn and Cisco Pals; been out all day and heading out again now so "hello I must be going" but wanted to quickly write to say that I heard about the terrible happenings at the school you mentioned on the radio earlier today, Blue, and did say some prayers and was thinking about what's been mentioned here on Techride today, too. When I first heard the report I held my breath for the half minute or so it took to hear the name of the town. So then I had to think "What if the name of the town had been my town, and it were my daughter trapped in that school and so here I am The Mom minding my own business driving along and then hearing such a thing on the radio?" I knew there had been parents hearing of it the same way. And My heart and prayers been going out all day to those kids, teachers, police, and parents who have had to deal with the sudden entry of such Evil into their lives. Blue, I hope your friend came through it fine and commend all who put their lives on the line to help others. Right now my daughter and I are heading out the door to see her guitar teacher play a show. She wouldn't be doing such a thing but every day risks victimization, as do we all. All our lives are different from the lives of the heartbroken people who will be forever shattered by this event tonight. This could have been my kid, or us or any of us tonight heartbroken like these families. I wish there was some way to figure how events like this could be halted. Still praying, will write again later. Joan |
