I have a question.

I was out in the threads today wandering and pondering the past days events and I just happened to spot a big trophy just lying in wait for somebody to snag his a**. So I did.

Message 9039162

I'm not quite sure, but it may have been on posted property. So, I figured "Shoot first, ask questions later!" It wasn't the best shot, but seemed to work. Nobody shot back.

Maybe I should have left a note apologizing for wanton shooting of these high numbered trophies, but I had buck fever and wasn't thinking much of protocol.

I have shot a couple of little ones before, an 11k @ 4k. However, upon checking on them a couple of days later, the sumbitches had moved and somebody else had got 'em.

My question is thus: How did that happen and what can be done to help prevent this in the future?
