Conference call observations: 1) I was put on hold for several minutes because of large number of people trying to get on call. 2) I have never heard so much management excitement in a call. Qcom management was overjoyed. You have to hear their tone of voice to truly appreciate it. 3) When asked if the future earnings number estimates should be based on 1.20 a share a quarter with growth the company said that was reasonable. 4) When growth rate for 1999 of 100% was mentioned in one of last questions the company indicated the market may well grow that fast. 5) All estimates for 1999-2000 are going to be sharply increased. The after hours price increase should be just the start tomorrow. I personally expect estimates to increase 50% or more for 1999-2000. Does anyone else have opinions. Robert D.
