Tomasso, tried your link but it didn't work. Not sure how many shares MD sold this year, but I think it's about 12-16 million. Do know that he holds 320 million shares as of March 30, 1999, so even if your 25 million is correct, that is about 7-8% of his total holdings. Remember also that his shares doubled in March with the stock split. Additionally, his sales coincided with his establishment of his venture capital company with about $1B. I find his selling both rational, to reduce the concentration of his holdings and untroubling from a share holder's point of view. The hallmark of Dell's management, unlike some computer firms of note lately, is it's credibility with both shareholders and the investment community. Worry if you like, indeed, if you feel strongly that MD's sales of stock are an indicator of trouble for Dell, why not take a large short position to back up your belief, as folks on this thread have taken up large long positions to back up theirs?
