Frankly Frank(no Punn) my research was quite extencive. I never questioned that Q would survive. I predicted the ericy deal 6 weeks before the WSJ figured it out. The fact was there was no getting arround Qcom, a deal was always the obvious outcome. Also without the deal Qcom was still acheap stock! Though shaken at times(october 8th at 38)I never questioned if I should sell, but only if I should buy more. I have made more money then I can comprehend(predicting the ericy deal and buying 100 calls at 75 strike didnt hurt). The fact that I still refuse to sell 1 of my almost 9000 shares is a testiment to my continued conviction. I am actually thinking about buying more at the open. I actually had 20 calls I sold on Monday(early) because I sensed an unraveling. I am real sorry I did. I also bought 30 putts(i guess I can write those off!)to protect my margined stock. My goal has always been to protect on the down, acumulate on the way up. I never imagined we would have this outcome(earnings)at this juncture. I figured it would be another few quarters! In any regard i blew 50Gs in options this month but the 30PTS yesterday and tomorow will comfort me when I fall asleep tonite!
