Rod,

Need some advice. Mark Bracey posted a link to a Microsoft web page talking about their new Linux 98 release. Today on CNBC they had interviews from Comdex, and Linux was a huge topic. Industry people saying that the Windows operating system could be history because Linux lets you tweak individually anything you want on your operating system. Oracle saying that their new Linux compatible programming language will make a programmer out of everyone and will be the only programming language needed. How much of this is hype, and how much is reality? With Oracle and Microsoft getting such a jump out of the starting blocks, what are the chances that INPR could come up with a Linux anything that might compete? Sorry for all the questions, but when it comes to programming, I am a neophyte.
